The city of Dawson was awarded $70,000 grant funds with $5,000 additional funds donated by Johnson Memorial Health Services and Farmers for Dawson. With the generous $80,000, Dawson will benefit with a new tennis court and basketball court, wind enclosure, and grills. Also as part of the grant, there will be kayaks and paddle boats purchased to be checked out and used on the river. The bid process is open and will be closing mid-March with the project to be completed by Fall 2023. Dawson is excited about the new updates and encourage families, visitors and residents to use the new ammenities.
